1 VERTICAL DEFORMATION AND TECTONIC ACTIVITY IN TIANJIN AREA

On the basis of the calculated results of the leveling data of Tianjin area during 1992-2008,the vertical variations of the ground were studied and the funnels of every survey line were calculated by polynomial function as well.After eliminating the settling influence of the groundwater pumping,the results are then fitted individually in each block,the diagrams of the vertical deformation rate were mapped,and the vertical velocities of the main fault zone were calculated.On the basis of the results of the studies the activities of block and fault zone in Tianjin were investigated.The vertical deformation reflects that some blocks in the Tianjin appear tilting and some appear rise or fall.The vertical variety divergences are different.The vertical velocity of the fault zone in Tianjin area is between 0.13-0.48 mm/a,the average velocity is 0.29 mm/a.

11 ON EFFICIENCY OF GRAVITY METHOD IN STUDYING PRE-CENOZOIC BASEMENT IN VIETNAM

]In order to increase the efficiency of the gravity method in studying the structural characteristics of the PreCenozoic basement in Vietnam, the authors have formulated a methodological system of integrated analysis of geologic and geophysical data. The results obtained show: \;
1)The great difference in average density is the basic factor indicating the efficiency of the gravity method in studying the PreCenozoic basement in Vietnam.
2) It is possible to use multidimensional linear correlation analysis in efficiently studying and forecasting the occurrence depth and density of the PreCenozoic basement rocks.
3)By applying multidimensional linear analysis for predicting the density combined with Poisson coefficient we are allowed to predict the PreCenozoic basement rocks.

18 GRAVITY VARIATION AT JUNCTURE AMONG SICHUAN AND GANSU AND SHAANXI PROVINCE  AFTER WENCHUANS Ms8.0 EARTHQUAKE

During September to December of 2008 after Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake,the observations of gravity show:gravity variations between Shazhou (Sichuan) and Qingmuchuan (Shanxi) and Bikou (Gansu) were obvious,the amount of gravity variation is about 70×10-8ms-2,and the high gradient of gravity variation came into between Ningqiang(Shanxi)and Kangxian(Gansu).The gravity variation of Wangbao line is active,the gravity variation is violent near the fault.

22 STUDY ON CHARACTERISTICS OF PRESENTDAY CRUSTAL MOVEMENT IN BEIBU GULF AREA

In order to monitor present-day crustal motion and tectonic characteristics in Beibu gulf area, repeated GPS campaigns(1998—2009) are used to calculate the 3D velocity field under ITRF2000 and internal deformation trends under a regional reference frame. The results show that Beibu gulf area along South China block is moving in NE115°direction, the average horizontal velocity is 33.5mm/a,and the average vertical velocity is 3.5 mm/a,there are in raise trends.

27 RESEARCH ON FOCAL MECHANISM SOLUTIONS AND TECTONIC STRESS FIELD IN FUJIAN REGION

This paper analyzes the focal mechanism solutions of 52 medium-small earthquakes and 6 groups of composite focal mechanism solutions in Fujian region and its vicinities from 1996 to 2005.The conclusions are as follows:1)The major tectonic movement in Fujian is tensional strike slip;2)The maximum principal stress axis (P-axis)of Fujian is mainly in NW direction,300-320°;3)There are mainly strike slip earthquakes in the costal region,and normal fault earthquakes in the inland region;4)The Paxis directions change regularly from the north to south of Fujian region which are NNW in the north and NWW to near EW in the south.

33 ON OBSERVATION RESULTS OF SEISMIC WAVE OF SACKS BODY STRAIN

The seismic response capacity of Sacks borehole body strainmeter was researched. It is discovered that the capacity is connected with eathquake magnitude or epicenter distance and spread along a line.
The law is found that the amplitude will increase exponentially when earthquake magnitude increase and it will decay with power function when the epicente distance increase. The characters of the conseismic strain step of 6 Sacks body strainmeters in Beijing and Tianjin were analysed. It shows that there is a certain relation between the strain step’s polarity (press and spread) with the faults which the observation stations are located on.

38 ANALYSIS OF SEISMIC PRECURSOR ANOMALY AT XIAMEN SEISMOSTATION

The data of SSY ensometer observed during 2004—2007 at Xiamen seismostation were assessed in quality and the analysis of the significant abnormal changes of SSY tensometer at Xiamen seismostation before two earthquakes occurred in Fujian province was made.The results show that these two anomalies were caused by rainfall,not be the earthquake precursory anomaly, although they were
corresponding to the earthquake well.

43 ANALYSIS OF CHARACTERS OF VERTICAL DEFORMATION AND FAULT MOVEMENT OF CHANGLEZHAOAN FAULT ZONE

The characters of movement of ChangleZhaoan fault zone were analysed by using levelling data of 7 crossfaults sites on the southeast coast of Fujian over 20 years.It is shown that the deformation characters of ChangleZhaoan foult zone as a whole are generally the same.The movement of south segment is the greatest,and that of north segment takes second place.The coastal movement is greater than inland movement.Faults are generally pressure.The intensity shows to increase as the whole,from northwest to southeast,and from inland area to coastal area.The relation of fault movement and earthquake is also discussed.

By use of the separation of the interior and exterior geomagnetic fields the equivalent current systems of interior and exterior geomagnetic field are inversed.The relations between the geomagnetic “lowest shift” phenomenon and the equivalent current systems are studied.The results show there is clear relation between them,so,the change of equivalent current systems may be one of causes of the geomagnetic “lowest shift”.

54 RESEARCH ON EFFECTS OF SATELLITE ORBIT ERROR ON SAR INTERFEROMETRY

According to the relationship between satellite orbital parameters (parameters of coordinates) and radar interferometry baseline parameters the relationship of error propagation between satellite orbit errors and baseline parameters error can be derived.The paper calculates and discusses the range of baseline parameters analyses the size of influence of the baseline parameters error on the reference phase error, elevation error and simulated interferogram. The results shows that the satellite orbit errors less affects on the elevation error and simulated interferogram error of the SAR interferometry, but much on the reference phase and the influence must be taken into account in the SAR image processing.

58 ON OCEAN HEAT CONTENT CHANGES BY USING SATELLITE ALTIMETRY DATA

The seasonal heat content changes over North Pacific and South China Sea during 2001 to 2007 are estimated by using satellite altimetry data,and compared with the results from the ECCO ocean model data.The results show that both in the local regions and the global area,the observations by using satellite altimetry agree well with that from the ECCO ocean model.

62 COMPARISON BETWEEN TRAJECTORY DISTURBING GRAVITY CALCULATED WITH EARTH GRAVITY FIELD MODELS OF EGM96 AND EGM2008

The formulas which are used to calculate the disturbing gravity and the model truncation error are given,and the truncation errors of the Earth gravity field models of 36 degree,360 degree,and 2 160 degree are calculated in the radial and horizontal directions,and the trajectory disturbing gravity vectors,which are calculated with the Earth gravity field models of EGM96 and EGM2008 of 36 degree and 360 degree,are analyzed and compared.The results show that when using the Earth gravity field model to calculate the trajectory disturbing gravity,the lower the model degree and the trajectory points height are,the bigger the model truncation errors are;the coherence of EGM96 and EGM2008 is gradually descending along with the model degree rising.As a whole,the accuracy of EGM2008 is better than that of EGM96.

68 DETERMINATION OF VELOCITY AND VERTICAL ACCELERATION IN AIRBORNE GRAVIMETRY BY USING GPS

Three methods for GPS differential velocity determination:the first one is the velocity determination of receiver original Doppler, the second is the velocity determination of Doppler derived from the carrier phase and the third derives from Kalman filter based on carrier phase are discussed.A comparison among those approaches is made on the static and dynamic data from Ashtech GPS dual-frequency receivers. The data processing results show that the accuracy of the last one is the best, which can reach the level of “mm/s”. Then, the smoothed acceleration is calculated by Bspline least squares fitting. The results indicate that the accuracy of the vertical acceleration of the carrier in static situation can reach 2×10 -8 ms -2 by using proper filter method and interval.

72 IMPACT ON ABSOLUTE GRAVITY OBSERVATION AT CHANGCHUN FIDUCIAL OF JINGYUETAN RESERVOIR IMPOUNDMENT

During the period from May of 2000 to September of 2008,we used the FG5112 absolute gravimeter to measure the absolute gravity at the Changchun fiducial station (JZ06)of China Crustal Movement Observation Network four times,and also collected hydrological data near the station.From the process and analysis of the gravity observations and the hydrological data,the following conclutions are drawn:1)From 2001 to 2008,the absolute gravity increases in the last three observations,and their maximum difference reaches to 20×10-8ms-2,mainly caused by the change of the Jingyuetan reservoir water storage which most impact could reach at 15.4×10-8ms-2(The average value is 6.7×10-8ms-2).2)After the effect of reservoir impoundment is removed,the average rate of gravity change at the Changchun fiducial station is 0.61×

10-8ms-2/a,which is equivalent to the rate of the crust vertical displacement as -0.18cm/a.Therefore,the impact of reservoir impourdment on absolute gravity data and relative gravity measurements at Changchun fiducial station can not be ignored.

76 AN APPROACH OF SUBAVERAGE JOINT COMPUTATION FOR AUTO RESTORING GPS PHASE CYCLE SLIP

On the basis of dualfrequency combination technique a new approach called subaverage joint computation auto restoring method for the automatic detection and restoring of phase cycle slip is developed.The approach firstly applies multiple test observables to detect their sequence abnormal mutations,respectively,and then sets the mutation positions for the locations of the subaverage,lastly forms the equation group to compute the magnitude of the cycle slip.Experiments show that the application of the approach for cycle slip detection and repair of GPS phase data from single receiver can dramatically improve the efficiency and reliability of data preprocessing .

81 REGIONAL ORBIT DETERMINATION OF NAVIGATION SATELLITEBASED ON PRIORI ORBIT CONSTRAINT INFORMATION

To satisfy the construction of China RealTime Precise Positioning Service System, a method of orbit determination of navigation satellite based on priori orbit dynamic information was proposed,in which the foregone dynamic orbit information and regional stations’ measurement information are used together. The key techonique is how to assign weight to two above informations. Mathematic model of this method was introduced and transformation formulae of normal equations with initial orbit parameters at different time were given. The cases that China regional orbit determination based on both IGS Final and IGS Rapid orbit dynamic information were computed. At last regional orbit determination accuracy based on dynamic information with different weighting values was analyzed. Experiment proved that this method was feasible and can obtain encourage results.

85 ANALYSIS OF A NEW EMPIRICAL MAPPING FUCTION GMF

This paper introduces the principle and effect of a new mapping function that could be used globally and easy to realize with software:the Global Mapping Function (GMF).Using the tropospheric delay obtained by the method of piecewise linear estimation as true value,we make comparisons between result from GMF and the true value,as well as NMF.By analyzing the differences among these three methods and their connections,some beneficial conclusions have been drawn.Numerical experiments show that GMF is an empirical mapping function with higher accuracy and easier implementation,thas is to very practical for us to choose.

89 MUTUAL VERIFICATION OF TWO METHODS ON EVALUATING ACCURACY OF GRACE EARTH’S GRAVITATIONAL FIELD

The accuracies of GRACE Earth’s gravitational field complete up to degree and order 120 are evaluated by using the prior Earth’s gravitational field model method (PEM)and least-squares covariance method (LSM)on the basis of improved energy conservation principle,respectively.The simulative results are as follows.Firstly,based on the GRACE orbital parameters and accuracy indexes of key payload instruments,the accuracies of geopotential coefficients are 5.192×10-10 and 6.633×10-10 by using the PEM and LSM at degree 120.Secondly,simulative geopotential coefficients degree RMS errors obtained by using the PEM and LSM accord with the measured accuracy of Earth’s gravitational field model EIGEN-GRACE02S provided by German GFZ,and the validity of evaluating the accuracy of Earth’s gravitational field based on the PEM and LSM is proved.Thirdly, on
the basis of coincidence of simulative geopotential coefficients degree RMS errors obtained by using the PEM and LSM,the algorithm dependability of the GRACE Earth’s gravitational field recovery complete up to degree and order 120 based
on the energy conservation principle associated with the pre-conditioned conjugate-gradient iterative approach is validated adequately.

There are many conversion models for GPS height conversion,such as polynomial,BP neural network and multi-quadrics fitting.Because the quasigeoid is an irregular geometric object,every method has both advantages and disadvantages.In order to obtain a more precise and reliable analytical result,the combined model based on least square support vector machines (LSSVM)has been proposed,which has many advantages including fewer parameters and faster training process.As a result,the fitting ability is significantly improved.The combined model still possesses the same important features as the single models.An example is taken and the results are analysed to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

How to evaluate the performance of integer ambiguity resolution in GPS is introduced.For the static observation data,we use this method to compute the integer parameters reliability estimation and to analyse the satellite constellation optimization.The result shows that this method is easy and active to solve the integer parameter estimation reliability.The more symmetrical satellites distribute,the quicker we can get the resolution.

In parameter estimation of GPS real time precise point positioning (RTPPP),the convergence time of estimated parameters is as important as the positioning accuracy,if it takes more time to calculate coordinates and ambiguity parameters,it is difficult to meet the need of RTPPP.There are many factors affecting the convergence time of GPS-PPP,quality of observations,sampling intervals,eyror model,satellite geometry distribution,accuracy required by user and so on.Some valid ideas are put forward to improve convergence time on the basis of analyzing these factors.What is more,we take some examples for analyzing the effect factors.

112 APPLICATION OF MIRROR SURFACE SYMMETRY METHOD TO POINT POSITIONING

Cosidrering the actuality of GPS pseudorange point positioning with bad height accuracy, a new approach named as mirror surface symmetry method is proposed. It takes the tangent plane through the approximate coordinate of the station on the ellipsoid as the symmetry plane. The real observable satellites make the virtual satellites by symmetry, the pseudorange observation values of the real observable satellites are used to constitute the virtual observation values. The new approach, using the real observation values, virtual observation values
for point positioning, can not only increase the number of satellites used to position but also improve the geometric structure in the GPS height direction in theory. The computation results of the experiment computations indicate that the effect of the new method obviously excel that of the existing method in the accuracy of the point positioning, especially the GPS height accuracy.

116 APPLICATION OF ARIMA(0,2,q)MODEL TO PREDICTION OF SATELLITE CLOCK ERROR

The methods currently used in satellite clock error forecasting are quadratic polynomial model and grey model.The shortcomings of these models are discussed,and a new ARIMA(0,2,q)model is proposed to model and predict the clock error for one day.The analysis of the time series of satellite clock error reveals that the related character of clock error accords with that of moving average model(MA)after differentiation two times.Thus the ARIMA(0,2,q)forecasting model is established.The final results by use of the ARIMA(0,2,q)shows that the integral forecasting accuracy of ARIMA(0,2,q)model is better than those of quadratic polynomial model and grey model.

The QUAD method is used for fault detection and exclusion in GNSS receiver autonomous integrity monitoring.The results show that QUAD method can be used for multiple faults detection and exclusion in satellite navigation system.However,the performance of QUAD method still needs test and verification,especially in safty-critical applications.

129 APPLICATION OF IGU EPHEMERIS TO MOUNTAIN-BASED GPS OBSCURATION PREDICTION

The method in mountainbased obscuration prediction by using IGU ephemeris offered from IGS is introduced by using the broadcast ephemeris and IGU ephemeris to compute.The comparison between the computation results of the positions of sitellite shows that the latter’s accuracy is higher than the former by two magnitudes.The obscuration prediction differing from the obscuration observation is only 1 s in time and the positions of obscuration are the same.So we can forecast obscuration more exactly in this way.

The Geography Markup Language (GML)is an XML grammar for expressing geographical features,the best way to store XML data is native database system (XND).Thus through extreme NXD to implement GML database system (NGD)is a good way to implement GML database system.The native GML database system was defined combininy native XML database and spatial database system and studied its store grain size,logical model and frame of system were studied.At last,by use of Java language the store and index modules of the designed native GML database system were is implemented.Through the experiment it is proved that the efficiency of native GML database is higher than that of the spatial database system.

138 STUDY ON FILTERING METHODS FOR InSAR INTERFEROGRAM OF HIGH FRINGE RATE

The performances of complex domain mean filter,periodic mean filter,Lee filter,spin filter and Goldstein filter for filtering the InSAR interferogram of high fringe rate are studied.Experiment results from real images of Mountain Etna show that in the high fringe rate case,space domain filter algorithm,even the most effective fringe preserving methods,will still make the fringe blur.However,the Goldstein filter,working in frequency domain,can preserve the fringe effectively while still reducing the level of noise.Moreover,the Goldstein filter demonstrates graceful degradation in regions of pure noise,shows great adaptability.

143 RESEARCH ON DEFORMATION CONTOUR MAPPING FROM SAR INTERFEROMETRY

The deformation data from the InSAR processing are always massive and always include some errors due to decorrelation,which cannot be detected from image expressing.However,compared with the conventional surveying data or inversion analysis,it should be better eliminated and greatly compressed when discrete feature points are extracted or with a contour line from InSAR.On the basis of the quadtree compressing,Kriging interpolation and Lowpass filter,a flowchart of the contour mapping is proposed for the InSAR deformation data.Finally the method is evaluated through a case study of the twoperiod ground subsidence around Xi’an City in 1996.

147 DESIGN OF PRECISE POSITIONING SYSTEM FOR MICROTREMOR ARRAY DISPOSITION

Accurate relative position of each site in array is required for microtremor exploration.A precise positioning system has been designed by use of GPS,its principle and constituent parts of software and hardware are introduced and test results are given.It is shown that the accuracy of the system is on centimeter level and it is convenient for microtremor array disposition.
