Wang Shuangxu;Zhang Sixin;Zhang Xi;Xue Fuping;Jiang Fengyun;and Zang Xiaoliang
By use of the repeated observational data of regional leveling network since 1970s and combining with the geologic tectonic and the recent earthquakes(Ms≥6.0) in the monitored area, the distribution of
the background abnormity of vertical deformation before and after strong earthquakes in different tectonic conditions of QilianshanHexi corridor and Chuandian areas are analyzed emphaticaly,
and compared with several typical seismic cases in North China.
The generality and individuality characteristics of background abnormity of
regional vertical deformation related to earthquake genesis in various tectonic conditions are summarized.Finally its mechanism and the meaning for forecasting the place where strong earthquakes occur are discussed.

7 PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF MICROEARTHQUAKE OBSERVATION BY TEMPORARY SEISMOSTATION NETWORKS IN TANGSHAN REGION IN 2006
Lai Xiaoling ;Li Songlin ;He Jiayong ;and Sun Yi
From August to October,2006, a temporary seismostation network was densely set up in TangshanLuanxian region to record the microearthquake. This network was composed of 30 digital seismographs, and the intervals between stations were about 2 to 5 km.Among these stations two were located at the Dachengshan Park and the Nanhu Park in Tangshan, which were used for earthquake observation experiments under strong interference background.
For nearly 3 months, 398 hypocenter locations were recognised of which their signals were received simultaneously by more than 4 stations. In the same period, however,only about 40 earthquakes can be found in Regional Seismic Catalogue. It shows that more microearthquakes can be observed by the temporary seismic station network, and thus it provides plentiful basic informations for techtonic study in the observed region.

11 ANALYSIS OF CURRENT MOVEMENT OFZHANGJIAKOU-BOHAI FAULT ZONE
Fang Ying;Jiang Zaisen;Zhang Jing;and Wu Yanqiang
The activity of Zhangjiakou-Bohai fault zone was analyzed with GPS data by cluster method.The analysis result shows that the crustal movement of Zhangjiakou-Bohai fault zone is the strongest in the Capital Circle region. The spatial noising was weakened by wavelet analysis and the fault movement model was given, and then the conclusion is drawn as follows. The slip rate of Zhangjiakou-Bohai faults is about 0.5 mm/a, the strain of footwall is similar to that of hangwall. It changes with timealternating translation in Zhangjiakou-Bohai fault zone from locked to slipped or from slipped to locked, and appears to be spatial alternation of strain accumulation in both side of the fault zone.

16 RESEARCH ON SEISMO-IONOSPHERIC ANOMALIES USING GPS RADIO OCCULTATION DATA
Yang Jian;Wu Yun;and Zhou Yiyan
The anomalous changes of the ionospheric electronic density in the space over the regions of Kuril Islands earthquake on Nov. 15,2006 and Haixi(China) earthquake on Feb. 25,2007 had been observed by use of the GPS radio occultation for COSMIC satellite before those events and those anomalies were proved through refering to the indices K from Wuhan geomagnetic station as it was not related to the influences from actions in outer space.Therefore,it can be concluded that the GPS radio occultation technique can be used for monitoring the anomalous change of ionospheric electromic density in the space over the region where an earthquake may occur imminently because these anomalies are probably caused by the generation of earthquakes.

36 ON GENETIC ALGORITHM FOR 3D INVERSION OF UNDERGROUND DENSITY CHANGES
Xuan Songbai ;Shen Chongyang ;Sun Shaoan ;Liu Jie ;Li Hui ;and Liu Shaoming
The method for inversing density changes of underground abnormal body with genetic algorithm by use of the repeated gravity data is described. The validity and stability of this method are proved by simulating trial calculation.The density changes before and after the first water impounding of Three Gorges Reservoir are inversed. Considering some possible situations of underground rock body’s density changes caused by the water impounding, four priori density contrasts are used to fit the remaining gravity changes obtained by repeat gravity data from April to July 2003 after deducting the gravity changes caused by the water loading. Some meaningful results are given.

41 UNBIASED ESTIMATION OF EXTENDED GREY MODEL AND ITS APPLICATION TO FORECAST OF DEFORMATION OF STEEP SLOPES
Liu Zhiping;and He Xiufeng
An unbiased estimation method based on original series and accumulated series for extended grey model (EGM) is developed, and the formula is proposed for calculating maximum predictable time scale of grey model. Unbiased extended GM (UEGM) has the characteristics of numerical stability, modeling objectivity and unbiased property. The steep slope engineering of Xiaowan Hydropower Station is studied as a case. The results show that the UEGM (1, M) model is better than
the UGM (1, 1) and the EGM (1, M) models in precision and reliability.\

Gao Yonggang ;Guo Jinyun ;Huang Cheinwei ;and Yue Jianping
The altimeter waveform data of satellite TOPEX/Poseidon over Hulun lake are analyzed. It is proved that satellite altimeter waveforms over lake have oceanlike characteristics.
Most of the altimeter waveforms are peaks or spikes during the frozen period in winter, while the wave energy is lower than that in summer owing to the influence of snow and ice covering the lake surface.

59 APPLICATION OF GENETIC ALGORITHM IN NONLINEAR REGRESSION MODEL GENERATING
Wang Suihui;and Pan Guorong;
On the basis of the principle which the function of high nonlinearity is not appropriate to linearize,the limitation of traditional methods in solving parameters of nonlinear regression estimation is analyzed.
A new method based on genetic algorithm is proposed, which adopts uniform design means to combine genetic operator, conduct numerical experiments and then obtain optimal estimation of parameters of regression estimation. The results show that there is no need of good initial values of parameters when genetic algorithm is adopted, both the capability of global search and the robustness of genetic algorithms exceed that of traditional algorithms.

65 STUDY ON MULTIPATH EFFECT IN STRUCTURE HEALTH MONITORING USING GPS
Dai Wujiao ;Ding Xiaoli ;and Zhu Jianjun
The multipath effect has strong repeatability when the surveying point and its surroundings keep unchanged.
In order to analyze the property of the multipath effect in GPS for deformation observation, a vibration measurement test is carried out by use of a simulation vibration table. The results show that there are some jumps of high frequency in the multipath error series and its main frequency is near to the vibration frequency of the table,thus it makes the repeatability down,but in the part of low frequency.
After the multipath correction using the part of low frequency which has a certain repeatability,the accuracy of GPS measurement can be improved about 30%.

77 DIRECT LEAST SQUARE ROBUST ESTIMATION METHOD FOR ELLIPSE FITTING
Xu Zhengwen ;and Yao Lianbi;
Tunnel cross section deformation ellipse reflects the deformation of tunnel segment under external load. The spatial geometry parameters of the deformation ellipse can be calculated through accurate spatial ellipse fitting. The algorithm for direct least square
ellipse fitting based on robust estimation is introduced, which integrates the gross error detecting by robust estimation and conic parameter constraint
of ellipse. The algorithm is implemented in a Matlab program, and is validated by a set of real surveying data of Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel. The fitting result shows that the algorithm increases the accuracy and the efficiency in gross error detecting.

81 COORDINATE TRANSFORMATION OF DIGITAL MAP BASEDON COLLOCATION BY TWO MINIMIZATION STEPS
Zeng Anmin;and Zhang Juqing
After having reviewed the basic collocation theory, the principle of the collocation by two minimization steps is introduced. Considering that the stochastic signal contains not only the stochastic information but also some systematic trend, after the systematic trend parameter having been calculated and then the residual was used to compute the covariance function of the stochastic information. With the refitted covariance function, the stochastic signal was evaluated and the systematic trend parameters were estimated again.
An actual digital map case shows that the solution accuracy with this method for collocation is better than that with the affine transformation by least squares.

85 DATA QUERY SYSTEM OF GML SPATIAL DATABASEBASED ON EXPANDED NXD
Lan Xiaoji ;Xiao Huihui ;and Duan Yanming
Currently, Geography Markup Language(GML) has become actually the international standard language for spatial data encoding, transmission, storage and release. Traditional query languages such as SQL and SQL extension , however, are not suitable for direct inquiry and updating of GML documents. Even the effective approaches working well with eXtensible Markup Language (XML) can not guarantee good results when applied to GML documents,for example, the W3C XQuery is a powerful standard query language for XML,but it does not support
querying spatial features which includes the most important components in GML documents. We put forward the expansions of Inquiry of XQuery and space XQuery syntax, and to some extent, realize the data query of GML spatial database based on the expansion of Native XML Database(NXD).

92 SPATIAL COORDINATE TRANSFORMATION BASED ON MULTIPLEPARAMETER REGULARIZATION AND ITS ACCURACY ANALYSIS
Chen Zhengyu ;and Liu Chun;
Threedimensional coordinate transformation is widely used in indoor computation for surveying and mapping. The transformated parameters may directly influence the accuracy of transformationed points. These parameters can be obtained with least square by at least three common points under Bursa model. Because of the illposed coefficient matrix, the obtain parameters is uncertain. In order to improve the accuracy and reliability,we put forward a transformation model considering translation, rotation and scale parameters by Tikhonov multiple parameter regularization based on Morozov bias principle. The simulated examples verify that the accuracy of the transformed coordinates in peripheral area and its stability can be significantly improved by multiple parameter regularization.

127 COMPARISON AMONG CRUSTAL MOVEMENTS MEASURED WITH THREE SPACE TECHNIQUES
Rong Min;Jia Xiaolin ;and Sun Fuping
It is dicussed whether the systematic errors exist or not in crustal movement monitoring by three space observation techniques i.e. VLBI,SLR and GPS.Taking account of vertical change rate,the baseline length changing rates of colocated sites are solved by use of velocity of geocentric coordinations, and these rates are fitted
pair to pair,and then their correlativities are analyzed.The computed results show that the crustal movements measured by this three techniques are consistent with each others:the difference between the baseline length changing rates by VLBI and GPS is small, and about 10% larger than that by SLR,there is a constant difference of about 3 mm/a between those by GPS and SLR,but less than 1 mm/a between those by VLBI and SLR.

As a core technique of CORS, GPS network RTK has been developed as one of the most important techniques of precise GPS positioning.
The positioning precision depends on the distance between fiducial stations and the distribution of the CORS fiducial station networks.
This paper discusses the joint networking of two neighbor networks, partial updating such as points deleting and inserting, and the selection of the best reference stations.Some optimization algorithms are put forward,which have been proved fast, efficient,simple and reliable.
