1 ON PROGRESS IN TECHNOLOGY AND MODERNIZATION OF GPS

The new progress of GNSS, and the three steps of the GPS modernization are introduced,it is to broadcast new civilian navigation codes: L1C, L2C and L5; new military navigation codes: M1 and M2; and launch the 3rd generation GPS satellite GPSⅢ. The development of GPS modernization in the recent two years is introduced as well. The L2C and L5 civilian navigation codes have been broadcast, though they are not decode till now. The space configuration of GPS satellites is in reconstruction, and the number of GPS active satellite will increase to 27 even to 30.

5 CHARACTERISTIC ANALYSIS OF COSEISMIC DEFORMATIONOF YUSHU Mw6.9 EARTHQUAKE FROM InSAR IMAGES

The coseismic surface deformation information of Yushu earthquake on April 14,2010 is firstly extracted by using ALOS PALSAR and ENVISAT ASAR based on interferometry technique. Analysis of displacement fields shows that there were surface ruptures three times,at least, the deformation along the fault was much larger than that of the perpendicular, where the effect is in range of 10 km. Maximum displacement reaches 54 cm in line of sight, 180 cm in horizontal deriction. Deformation distributions and characteristics are very consistent with that of sinistral strike slip. The consistency is found between the two results from ALOS PALSAR and ENVISAT ASAR separately. In addition, the location of macroepicenter derived from InSAR very close to that from field investigation. It means that InSAR is a simple and quick means to locate macroepicenter of an earthquake.

10 CURRENT TECTONIC MOVEMENT OF SOUTH CHINA SEA AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS

We collected and processed the site velocities of South China Sea(SCS) and its surrounding areas and obtained unified velocity field in ITRF2005. By analyzing the spatial variation of the velocity field and strain field, and relative motions between blocks it is discovered that the SCS extends still up to now. The western part of SCS is opening gradually NWSE from its northern margin to south, but the eastern part of SCS is opening gradually from its central part to north and to south. On the basis of computed results of strain field, the average extension rate in about
SN is 3.1 mm/a in the CSB and extension rate in SN is 9.3 mm/a in eastern part of SCS 117°E between 11°N and 22°N which is smaller than the average extension rate of 13.0 mm/a along NNWSSE since 65 Ma. The expansive motion of the SCS is resulted from the common effects between Indian plate, Pacific plate, Philippine Sea plate and Eurasian plates, and the upwelling of the mantle matters of SCS area.

17 ANALYSIS OF COSEISMIC TILT AND STRAIN VARIATIONS FOR WENCHUAN Ms8.0 EARTHQUAKE

Coseismic tilt and strain offsets for Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake had been recorded by almost all of the continuous tilt and strain instruments in China. These offsets can be interpreted as qui-static tectonic changes after the earthquake. We calculate coseismic tit and strain offsets at the stations around about 450 km of the epicenter and coseismic tilt and strain offsets are simulated with halfspace elastic dislocation model, particalarly using finite slip models inversed from farfield broadband seismic waveforms and from nearfield geodetic data (GPS&InSAR). Consequently, comparisons between the observed and modeled offsets for tilt and strainmeters are analyzed. Our preliminary study demonstrates that the directions of observed ~75% tilt offset and ~33.3% strain offset are consistent with that modeled, respectively, and the magnitude of the observed tilt offsets are 1-2 orders larger than that of modeled, whereas the observed strain offsets are coherent with the modeled or 1 orders of magnitude larger than that of modeled.

22 DEFORMATION CHARACTERISTICS OF SOUTHERN SEGMENT OF XIANSHUIHE FAULT BEFORE AND AFTER WENCHUAN Ms8.0 EARTHQUAKE

The GPS observation results showed that an obvious change took place in two southern profiles of Xianshuihe fault after the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake. Movements of sites close to the fault were of from preseismic leftlateral strikeslip to postseismic dextral
strikeslip, from preseismic compression to postseismic tensile.
The impact of the Wenchuan earthquake on profile Shimian is bigger than that on profile Kangding in dextral strikeslip, tensile and scope. The impact of the Wenchuan earthquake wasn’t obvious on sites farther away from the fault. The seismic hazard of southern segment of Xianshuihe fault might declined in a certain extent with the Wenchuan earthquake, because of background of leftlateral strikeslip.

27 STATIC AND KINEMATIC ANALYSIS OF COSEISMIC DEFORMATION OF WENCHUAN Ms8.0 EARTHQUAKE

Before and after the Wenchuan \%M\%s8.0 earthquake on 12th May 2008,the coseismic deformation changes greatly,
the horizontal deformation at PIXI, MYAN, ZHJI and CHDU GPS stations reached 70 cm,31 cm,23 cm,20 cm respectively. The most deformations are towards northwest 45°, nearly the orthogonal direction of the fault, and the right region,i.e. Chengdu plain of the fault appears downward. The results of kinematic GPS data processing show that the maximum deformation of PIXI reached about 1 m during the earthquake.
At last, on the basis of the region time recorded at the stations of the Sichuan GPS network,the average S wave velocities from Wenchuan to all the GPS stations of the network are computed.

31 ON METHODS OF CRUST DEFORMATION ANALYSIS OF MEDIUMSMALL AREA BY USING DISPLACEMENT VELOCITY DATA OF GPS STATIONS

The displacement velocity data of 28 GPS stations in TianjinBeijing area under the ITRF2005 are further processed and analyzed as a whole. In a local area, it is unavoidable that local crust moves rigidly on the whole relative to ITRF2005, and this disturbs us in interpreting the magnitude and characters of crust relative deformation inside the area. The method for dividing the parallel components of the velocity vectors is studied. Through the analysis
of practical data, it is concluded that with both of parallel component average method and Euler vectors method,
good results can be obtained respectively from the data of 28 GPS stations in Tianjin and Beijing area,
however, the parallel components average method is of more simplicity and clarity.

Takes Bayan Har and Sichuan crustal block as object of study, and takeing GPS displacement on boundary as input data and solves the variation of stress on block boundary,the variation of stress on block bounhdary is solved with Boundary Element Method and the distributions of displacement and strain in the two blocks are calculated and ploted from the stress.It is found out that NS
trending tensile strain decreased quickly from west to east in Bayan Har crustal block before Wenchuan \%M\%s8.0 earthquake, thus made the Longmen mountains fault locked, great strain energy accumulated and the earthquake occured.

39 AUTOMATIC DENOISING ALGORITHM OF EARTHQUAKE SIGNAL BASED ON HHT DECOMPOSITION

According to the HilbertHuang mode decomposition of earthquake signal, combined with STA / LTA algorithm for automatic identification of signal and noise mode,an automatic denoising algorithm of earthquake signal based on the HHT decomposition and STA/LTA algorithm is presented. This method does not require analysis of the spectral characteristics of the signal and could filter the signal with highpass, low pass and bandpass automatically in timedomain. The algorithm was successfully applied in automaticly denoising the Ms2.9,Ms3.8 and Ms3.7 earthquake signal separately occurred in Rudong Sea, Yancheng Coastal, Jurong County in Jiangsu province.

43 INTERPOLATION METHOD BASED ON LEAST SQUARESCOLLOCATION FOR DYNAMIC GRAVITY CHANGES

The method of least squares collocation for making grid of discrete data was used to obtain the petlern of dynamic gravity changes. Comparing with the several commonly used interpolation methods,such as Kriging, the results show that the accuracy is as well as or slightly better than those with other methods, and the images are smooth relief and with flowlines.It is shown that this method can efficiently describe the morphological and characteristics of the dynamic changes of gravity field.

47 DISCUSSION ON BASELINE CORRECTION OF STRONG MOTION DATA

The sources of some primary low frequency noise effecting on strong motion acceleration are analyzed. To remove the noise, three schemes of baseline correction are introduced, and the effect of the schemes on the velocity and displacement time series integrated the processed acceleration is pointed out. Apply the schemes, three typical accelerations of Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake are corrected, and some questions are also put forward for the consideration of baseline correction.

51 ANALYSIS OF SOLAR ECLIPSE IONOSPHERIC ANOMALIESON JULY 22,2009 AT WUHAN STATION

On the basis of the GPS observations obtained at the Wuhan IGS station of CMONOC, the TEC and ROT of satellite transmission path on July 22 and the days before and after it were calculated. The results show that ionospheric anomalies existed during the solar eclipse, the TEC is lower than those on the days before and after it.8 hours after the solar eclipse, the ROT experienced a process of going down and recovery, the largest degradation is almost 0.3TECU/minute.

55 RESULT ANALYSIS OF IONOSPHERIC TOMOGRAPHYINVERSION FROM GPS DATA OVER CHINA

For the limitations of singlelayer ionospheric model, the annual timeseries variations of electron density distributions over China are inverted by using the ionospheric tomography technique and the dualfrequency GPS observations from Curstal Movement Observation Network of China (CMONOC) in 2003. The diurnal varying characteristics of ionospheric electron density over China, especially the development and disappearance of the equatorial anomaly core and the variations of the vertical structure of ionosphere are investigated. The difficulties and problems for using GPS data to inverse the electron density profiles in China are discussed and some suggestions are given for further investigation.

59 STUDY ON IMPROVING DEFORMATION MONITORING ACCURACY BY USING INTEGRATED GPS AND InSAR

On the basis of comprehensively integrating the current GPS and InSAR techniques, a method of integrating GPS, InSAR and Corner Reflectors(CR) is proposed. Through some demonstrations and preliminary empirical work,it is proved that the method is feasible, and can reduce the number of error factors, greatly improve the accuracy of deformation monitoring.

Up to now,there are no sophisticated and effective methods of circle pile position in piling engineering.
A concise, stable and reliable algorithm to position circle pile is introduced, which is surveying one 3D point coordinate on pile surface and one tangent direction of pile side in the same level. The tangent coordinate system and ellipse coordinate system were built in this position model. According to the restraint relationship between the measurements, the coordinate of circle pile center can be obtain. At last, the
achievable accuracy of this algorithm is analyzed. The field test data and calculated results verifly the correctness of this algorithm.

and the nonlinear problem in parameters estimation is solved with the parameter transformation method to
avoid the issue of linearization. The feasibility of this new algorithm is verified by measurement data and the problem of theory defect in traditional method was solved. Futher more in order to meet the different conversion models used in different regions, the parameter estimation formula for affine transformation mode is derived.

79 A PREDICTING MODEL OF IONOSPHERIC BASED ON ARIMA(p,1,1)

Modeling point by point of the grid data of ionospheric released by IGS with ARIMA(p,1,1), the prediction results with linearity least variance prediction method (common prediction method) and correcting prediction method are compared. The experimental results show that accuracies of most points are higher with the correcting prediction method in a short time, but larger deviation will appear at the extreme point of VTEC. Common prediction method can reach a satisfied accuracy in a long time.

83 EFFECTS OF HORIZONTAL VARIATION OF TROPOSPHERIC DELAY ON GPS SURVEYING

There are weather condition differences in different location in small areas, as a result,the tropospheric delay can not be completely eliminated with the usually used double difference technology. In order to analyze the residual tropospheric delay effect which caused by the different weather condition between the ends of the baseline, several tests with baselines of different length were carried out by using the data from Hong Kong CORS. The followings conclusions can be drawn from these test results.1) When the baseline is more than 15 kilometers, the residual tropospheric delay is the main error sources affecting the accuracy of GPS height measurement, and the longer the baseline length is, the bigger the error of the residual tropospheric delay is. 2)When the baseline length is close to or over 30 kilometers, baseline solution often fails because of the lange residual tropospheric delay.3)The tropospheric delay in horizontal direction is more diversed in the humid and hot weather conditions, and the accuracy of the GPS height measurement decreases more.

Through comparing several constrained solutions,
the results show that the MC approach is an optimal method to express the regional GPS GeoNet in TRF finally.

The commonmode error is the main component of GPS time sequences. The available Eulerfiltering method
is valid for identification and estimation of white noise which is a only part of the commonmode error. Combining with the priori error, Euler and wavelet methods, and the characteristics of crustal deformation analysis, the identification and estimation style of the commonmode error are further discussed, and different processing techniques corresponding to different situations are proposed. Through these kinds of processing, the commonmode error can decrease to the most extent.

105 ON MODEL COMBINED FORECASTING OF TEMPORAL DATA BASED ON PURSUIT PROJECTION LEARNING NETWORK

Aiming at observed time series data, a new forecast model which has the advantages of combination prediction and Pursuit Projection Learning Network(PPLN) is put forward. The model uses several static forecasting models to obtain the tendency part and uses the regression model for periodic part, then takes them as input signals of PPLN, calculates the weights between the models by PPLN which has the ability to approximate the complex nonlinear function. The model resolves a difficult problem of combination prediction.The experimental results show that new forecast model has a higher accuracy than traditional curvefitting or combination forecasting method with variable weight, can be applied to other data prediction problems in the subject of surveying and mapping.

110 STUDY ON PRECISE POINT POSITIONING ACCURACY AFFECTED BY DCB

The satellite clock error which includes satellite differential code bias(DCB) in observation model of precise point positioning is analyzed and the expressions of DCB is given when satellite clock error being corrected by IGS precise clock products. Experimental results show that in staticly positioning the influence of DCB error is very small, so it can be ignored, but in dynamicly positioning it can make the postioning results some centimeter error, so it must be dealt with carefully.

Firstly,the methods and models for correcting antenna phase center offsets(PCO) and phase center variations(PCV) in highaccuracy GPS positioning are introduced,then using precise point positioning procedures the measured data of IGS stations are calculated and analyzed.The results show that in horizontal direction,
PCO and PCV less influence on precise point positioning precision,while in elevation direction,
PCV brings about cm level effect and the effect of PCO is in 5 mm.Compared with the relative antenna phase correction model,the absolute phase correction model has more advantages, especially in high precision GPS clocking.

122 EXCHANGE OF DELAUNAY TIN BETWEEN MATLAB AND GMT IN CRUSTAL STRAIN CALCULATION

The traditional method for crustal strain calculation is constructing triangulation with all the GPS sites first, and then calculating the strain of every triangulation. If the different algorithms:Matlab and GMT are adopted,then for the same data set the different trianggulation outputs will be obtained.By the study of the data formats output from the constructed triangulation results with Matlab and GMT we have programmed the transform between both the results in the Peal language thus realized the transform to each other between the software Matlab and GMT in mapping Delaunay triangulation and constructed the same triangulation results.When in mapping we combined the geographic manuscriptmap,thus we have achieved a good expressing results.

127 DInSAR ATMOSPHERIC DELAY CORRECTION BASED ON MODIS AND GPS

The radar signal propagation delay caused by the spatiotamporal change of atmospheric water vapor contents changing
is one of the major error sources for interferometry SAR (InSAR).
By using GPS observation data of seven terms from July 2006 to July 2009, and the corresponding MODIS data in Xi’an,the MODIS water vapor correction model is studied, and an experiment of DInSAR atmospheric delay correction in Xi’an area is carried out.
Compared with GPS observations, the results show that MODIS data can be used to correct atmospheric delay in DInSAR results when the atmosphere state change slowly, though the accuracy improvement is not very obvious.

132 STUDY ON ZENITH TROPOSPHERIC DELAY INTERPOLATION METHODS FOR DIFFERENT TERRAIN

It is one of the key issues to further enhance the accuracy of interferometry that how to effectively improve the atmospheric effects in InSAR. Using GPS technique to correct atmospheric delay of InSAR is the most effective method.
From the GPS data of Beijing and Wuhan, the Inverse Distance Weighted and Kriging interpolation methods are adopted to study the effect on tropospheric delay interpolation for different terrain. It is concluded that there are the same effect between Inverse Distance Weighted method and Kriging interpolation method. The effects on tropospheric delay interpolation are different in Wuhan and Beijing. The interpolation effect in Wuhan region with the methods are the same,they amounts to millimeters, while the effects are different from eath other in Beijing,that it can be to millimeter in the flat region, while to centimeter in mountain area. Thus the terrain correction should be made for interpolation in order to apply the atmospheric correction of InSAR with GPS zenith tropospheric delay.

137 COMPARISON OF EMD WITH WAVELET DECOMPOSITION FORDYNAMIC DEFORMATION MONITORING

Both wavelet decomposition and empirical mode decomposition (EMD),a new signal processing method,
can be used for denoise and multiscale decompose GPS measurements to obtain the deformation information.
To analyze the feasibility and effect of this method, the simulated data and GPS data collected from the table test are used to test the ability of EMD and wavelet in signal denoising and multiscale decomposition.
From these tests,the following conclusions that both the EMD and wavelet are good for extracting the vibration of the structure. However, when the data is noised heavily, the stability of wavelet is better than EMD in denoising and multiscale decomposition, while the EMD is an adaptive method based on the data itself, and free from the choise of wavelet base and the number of decompose layer.

The mathematic methods of position and velocity errors in Inertial Navigation System caused by disturbing gravity vector are discussed.Through the calculation of the data of a certain oceanic area where the gravity anomalies are known
the magnitude and characteristics of the errors are also studied. The output information of gravity sensor in GravityAided Inertial Navigation System can be applied in gravity matching to correct gyroshifting errors of inertial navigation cumulated with time and also be used in gravity correction to eliminate Schuler errors caused by the fact that the normal gravity rather than the actual gravity is used in the mechanical equation.

The formula of Givens transformation with weighted parameter
which is used to control the estimator range of the navigation satellite ephemeris parameters is deduced.
The results show that Givens transformation with weighted parameter not only is steady in numerical computation and efficient in calculation but also can easily give the prior weight of the ephemeris parameters and expediently make the abnormal navigation satellite parameters back into the prescriptive range.

156 STUDY ON PROGRAM OF PRECURSOR INSTRUMENTS INTO NETWORK

Under retaining the original “Ninth Five Year Plan” communication mode, completing the “Ninth Five Year Plan” precursor instruments’ access to the “Tenth Five Year Plan” precursory data management system at Xiamen seismostation. Experimental results show that the program is running stably with low error rate, fully compatible with “Ninth Five Year Plan” standard and with “Tenth Five Year Plan” regulation.
