About the Journal:
The Journal of Geodesy and Geodynamics (former Crustal Deformation and Earthquake before 2002) was launched in February 1981. It is a core Chinese journal inChina, and is a professional academic journal that is representative and widely influential in the seismological field ofChina.
The editorial office of the Journal of Geodesy and Geodynamics integrates the overall advantages of academic research in the seismological industry ofChinafor the journal, runs the journal publicly, and is committed to building it as one of the first class academic journal brands inChina. The journal’s tenet is to promote the development of seismological theoretical researches and technical methods by publishing seismological research achievements that are innovative and have major academic values; and to drive the deep development of modern geodesy, geodynamics and seismology through interdisciplinary research based on modern geodesy, geophysics and seismology.
The main columns of the Journal of Geodesy and Geodynamics include Academician Forum, Geodynamics and Earthquake, Geophysics and Earthquake, Seismic Instruments and Observation Techniques, and Reservoir Earthquake, etc. The papers published in the journal relate to such fields as geodynamics, geophysics, modern geodesy, earth observation techniques, and earthquake engineering. The journal’s target readers mainly include researchers in earthquake and related fields and teachers and graduate students of relevant majors in universities and colleges.
The honorary editor-in-chief of the journal is Shuhua Ye, academician ofChineseAcademyof Sciences, and the editor-in-chief of the journal is research fellow Hongtai Chao. There is an editorial board established for the journal, to practically ensure the academic quality and topic selection direction of the journal. The editorial board is composed of 15 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and/or Chinese Academy of Engineering, i.e., Shuhua Ye, Guoyu Ding, Jin Ma, Zongjin Ma, Jinsheng Ning, Yaolin Shi, Jingnan Liu, Houze Xu, Jiancheng Li, Deren Li, Yong Chen, Yuntai Chen, Junyong Chen, Yuanxi Yang, and Ziqing Wei, and 87 research scholars in earthquake and relevant fields, including Chi-Yu King, Jeffrey Freymueller, Shusun Li, Zhengkang Shen, Xiaoping Wu and Mian Liu from USA, Wenke Sun from Japan, Wenheng Zheng and Linlin Ge from Australia, Michel van Ruymbeke from Belgium, Ricardo Vieira from Spain, Esmond MOK from Hong Kong, and Ruigang Zhang from Taiwan.
The editorial office has established a strict peer review system to conduct academic review of all manuscripts received so as to ensure that the contents and viewpoints of the papers are novel, complete and valuable. This journal publishes about 250 academic papers written by scholars from China and other countries every year, whose contents relate to earthquake related crustal deformation, geodynamics, geophysics, modern geodesy, earth observation techniques, seismic monitoring and prediction, and engineering earthquake, etc. It has significant advantages in such aspects as crustal deformation, and geodynamics.
