ANALYSIS OF SEISMIC ACTIVITY OF FENGJIE SECTION IN THREE GORGES RESERVOIR AREA

Abstract The reservoir seismicity in the Fengjie section of the Three Gorges reservoir and the induced seismicity after the inpondment of whole Three Gorges reservoir are studied.The results show that since the inpondment,the frequency of seismicity is increasing with the water level rising in the reservoir area and its range concentrates on both the banks of the Yangtze River and near the Fengjie fault.
