ANALYSIS OF SEISMOTECTONIC ENVIRONMENT IN SOUTHEAST OF HUNAN PROVINCE

Abstract Starting with the research on the basic characteristics of tectonic, neotectonic and the activity of dominating Quaternary fault in the southeast of Hunan province, the regional seismotectonic environment was analyzed. It is recognized that during the neotectonic movement period, the crust has mainly undergonely entire and slowly elevated movement along with intermittence uneven elevated movement. The regional faults generally occured in the Quaternary and some in the mid-Pleistocene, but there are no distinctive activities nowadays, and the regional tectonic setting is slightly affected by them.
