TESTING SENSITIVITY OF DEFORMATION INSTRUMENT WITH LASER INTERFEROMETER

Abstract The sensitivity test methods for different types of crustal deformation instruments are various. In addition, all the test results are untraceable. Therefore the accuracy and credibility of the observation results are affected. The sensitivity test methods for water tube tiltmeter, vertical pendulum tiltmeter and extensometer are discussed. Laser interferometry technology is introduced to improve the test accuracy. The test results are shown to be traceable to national measurement standards.
