UANGXI PINGGUO SMALL EARTHQUAKE SWARM AND FOCAL
MECHANISM IN JUNE 2013

Abstract The small earthquake swarm occurred nearby the 3# tailing pond of Pingguo aluminum mine in Guangxi during June to July 2013.The spatial distribution of epicenters is concentrated，and the focal depth is very shallow.Seismic waveform show that the fluid takes part in the process.The direction of principal compressive stress of larger earthquakes is not consistent with the regional tectonic.The fluid had higher triggerring strength according to the quantitative detection，based on Epidemic Type Aftershock Sequence model(ETAS model).The leakage of tailing pond payed a direct role in the earthquake swarm.
