Abstract Dynamic evolution characteristics of the gravity field before Luhuo Ms5.3 on April 10,2011 and Qingchuan-WenxianMs5.4 on November 1,2011 are studied. The result shows that the upspeed upspeed down variations of the gravity field emerged before those earthquakes.The variations of the gravity field formed dense,positive anomaly and closed contours in the place where it is the intersection of Xianshuihe,Longmensan and An’ninghe faults.
