A FIBER BRAGG GRATING TEMPERATURE SENSOR WITH ADJUSTABLE SENSITIVITY

Abstract As a novel sensing element, Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) is sensitive to both temperature and strain. On the basis of this character, we designed and manufactured a FBG temperature sensor with adjustable and high sensitivity. By adjuseing its sensitivity, its temperature range can be changed, which enlarges the application field, so the problems of storage and transport is solved.
