Abstract:This paper calculates slip and pressure amounts and the cumulative amount of change for studying the fault activity characteristics in the Yunnan region, using the cross fault baseline and leveling observation data from 1982 to 2013. Combined with analyzing earthquakes at magnitude 7 and above in this region, the results show that there are obvious segmentation features during the time of fault activity in the Yunnan area, and that there are obvious differences in space activity. The relationship between faults and earthquakes mainly shows that: when the pre-earthquake fault activity is enhanced, the coseism fault activity can be changed, and the after earthquake, activity will be weakened or strengthened.
